What exactly is TradeVerge Gold Core?

Gold Core is an expert advisor for MetaTrader 5 that trades a single instrument: XAUUSD. It is not a signal service, a copy-trading room or a marketplace of strategies. It is one decision pipeline, tuned to the behaviour of gold, that runs on your own account at your own broker.

The pipeline has four stages. It scans price structure and volatility continuously, validates a setup against several independent conditions before it is allowed to trade, sizes and places the order through your broker, then manages the position to a predefined exit with protective logic active the whole time.

Everything runs locally in your terminal. No trade instruction is sent from us to your account, and we never hold funds, credentials or withdrawal rights.

Do I need trading experience to run it?

Operating the system requires no discretionary trading skill. Installation is a guided process and the default configuration is the one we run ourselves. That said, you are still the account owner. You should understand what leverage does to a position, what a drawdown period feels like in practice, and how your broker handles spreads, swaps and margin calls. Those three things decide whether you stay calm through a normal losing stretch or switch the system off at the worst possible moment. If any of that is unfamiliar, run the licence on a demo account for a few weeks first. The demo slot included with every licence exists for exactly that reason.

Does my computer need to stay on?

The expert advisor only works while MetaTrader 5 is open and connected to your broker. A laptop that sleeps, loses Wi-Fi or restarts for updates will interrupt trade management. The standard solution is a low-cost VPS located close to your broker's server. This keeps the terminal online permanently and reduces execution latency. Setup instructions for the common providers are included in the member area.

How often does it trade?

Gold Core does not target a trade count. It waits for its conditions and stays flat when they are absent, which means quiet weeks are normal and expected behaviour rather than a fault. Volatility regimes change how active the system looks. During news-heavy, high-range periods it will find more qualifying setups; in compressed ranges it may take very few. Judging the system over a single week is misleading — the sample is too small to mean anything.

How is the performance verified?

Performance figures on this site are pulled from a public Myfxbook account linked to a live trading account. Myfxbook reads the account history directly from the broker, which means the growth, drawdown and trade statistics are not typed in by us and cannot be edited after the fact. You can open the account page yourself and inspect the full trade list, the equity curve and the verification status. We link to it rather than posting images of it. Where a figure is not available from the account, we leave it out. We do not estimate, backfill or illustrate numbers that the live account has not produced.

Are returns guaranteed?

There is no guaranteed return, and any product that offers one should be treated as a warning sign. Market conditions change, brokers differ, and a strategy that performed well in one regime can underperform in another. Published results describe what one account did over a specific period under specific conditions. Your own results will differ because of your broker's spreads and execution, your account size, your risk setting and the exact moment you started. Trade only with capital you can afford to lose, and read the full risk disclosure before going live.

Why do my results differ from the published account?

Two accounts running identical logic will not produce identical curves. Spread and commission differences change the profitability of each trade. Execution latency changes the fill price. Swap rates change the cost of holding positions. Start date matters more than most people expect. Beginning a month before a strong run and beginning a month after it produce very different early impressions of the same system. Over longer periods the curves converge in shape, even when the exact percentages differ.

What protects the account in bad conditions?

Every position carries a stop loss placed at order time, on the broker's server, so protection does not depend on the terminal staying connected. A daily loss ceiling halts new entries once the account has given back a defined amount within a session, which prevents a bad day from compounding into a bad week. Spread and volatility filters block entries when execution conditions deteriorate — around major releases, at the rollover window, or when the broker widens spreads beyond the operating band. An equity floor suspends new trading entirely if the account falls below a defined level, leaving the decision to resume with you rather than with the software.

Does it use martingale or grid recovery?

Gold Core does not martingale, does not grid and does not add to losing positions to lower an average price. Those methods produce attractive equity curves right up until the one sequence that removes the account. Position size is derived from the account balance and the configured risk setting, and a losing trade is closed at its stop rather than defended.

Can I change the risk level after purchase?

Risk is a setting in the terminal, not something baked into your licence file. You can move between the configured levels whenever you like, and the change applies to new positions from that point on. Changing risk mid-drawdown is usually a mistake. Raising it to recover faster increases the damage if the drawdown continues; lowering it locks in a slower recovery. Pick a level you can sit through and leave it alone.

Which brokers work with it?

The requirement is MetaTrader 5, an XAUUSD symbol with tight typical spreads, and execution that does not routinely reject or heavily slip orders. Raw-spread or ECN-style accounts generally suit the system better than wide fixed-spread accounts. Brokers name the gold symbol differently — XAUUSD, GOLD, XAUUSD.r and so on — and the system detects the variant automatically during setup. A separate configuration profile ships for prop-firm accounts, tuned to respect daily-loss and maximum-drawdown rules rather than maximise raw return.

Can I run it on a prop-firm challenge?

The prop profile trades more conservatively and is built around the constraints challenges impose: a daily loss limit, an overall drawdown limit and a target that rewards consistency over speed. Firms differ on what they permit. Some allow expert advisors without restriction, some prohibit them, some prohibit only specific behaviours such as news trading or high-frequency entries. Read your firm's terms before you start — a breach is on the account holder, not the software.

How long does setup take?

After purchase you receive the licence key and the download immediately. Installation is copying the file into your MT5 data folder, restarting the terminal, attaching the system to an XAUUSD chart and entering your key. The member area carries a step-by-step walkthrough with screenshots, plus the VPS guide and the recommended broker settings. If anything stalls, support can walk through it with you.

How many accounts can one licence run?

A licence binds to specific MT5 account numbers. The number of live slots depends on the tier you choose at checkout, and every tier includes demo slots so you can test settings without consuming a live slot. Slots are managed from your account dashboard. If you change broker or open a new account you can release a slot and activate the new one yourself.

Is it a subscription?

Pricing is a matrix of licence length against account slots. Monthly and yearly licences renew automatically until cancelled and can be cancelled from the dashboard at any time, with access running to the end of the paid period. The lifetime licence is one payment with no renewal, covering ongoing updates for the product version you purchased.

What is the refund policy?

Because the licence unlocks a downloadable product immediately, refunds are governed by the conditions set out in the refund policy rather than an unconditional guarantee. If something is wrong — the licence will not activate, the download fails, or the product does not match what was described — contact support first. Most cases are resolved without needing a refund at all.

Do I get updates?

Improvements to filters, execution handling and broker compatibility are released as new builds and appear in your dashboard. Active licences download them at no extra cost. Updating is replacing the file in the terminal and restarting it. Your settings and licence activation carry over.

Broker-specific questions, settings discussions and general conversation happen in the member community, where people running the same system compare notes. Do you have access to my trading account?

Accepted Answer

The licence check confirms that your account number is authorised to run the software. That is the extent of the connection. We never receive your broker password, your investor password or any withdrawal permission. Your funds stay with your broker, under your control, at all times.
